Nashville Window Blind Cleaning, and Disinfecting Service

FAQs about our New Windows Blind Cleaning Service

Q: How often should you clean window blinds?

A: Ideally, we recommend once a month. Worst case, every spring, and fall.

The reason we recommend having your blinds cleaned once a month is that they are great at collecting dust, dirt, grease, and pet hair. Not only can this result in a buildup of unsightly gunk, but it could also contribute to an increase in inside allergies. Don't worry, cleaning your blinds isn't a time-consuming chore. Q: How does Daher Cleaning Services clean faux wood blinds without taking them down?

We suggest maintaining the appearance of your faux wood blinds with regular window blind cleaning. Dirt and grime buildup can discolor your blinds and make them look old. We can wipe off the dust with a feather duster, a microfiber cloth or a vacuum brush. We can also use non-abrasive soap with warm water to clean the blinds.

Q: What is your Simple Clean service for cleaning window blinds?

A: If your blinds aren’t very dirty, a simple dusting is all they will need. We can use a soft dusting cloth or microfiber cloth to wipe down your metal, plastic and wooden blinds while in the closed position. We do not use paper towels or cloths on your woven blinds as the fibers will get caught in the weave.

Q: What is your Deeper Clean service for cleaning window blinds?

If your blinds are in the kitchen and have a layer of grease on them or your blinds have collected years of neglect, a little extra work is required. We start with the simple clean and dust away or vacuum up loose particles. Next, we use a damp cloth to remove the stuck-on grime.

Q: How do you Deep Clean Aluminum, plastic or Faux wood blinds?

A: Depending on how powerful of a clean you need for your aluminum, plastic or faux wood blinds, we can use a few different solutions for cleaning blinds made of these materials. We can use warm soapy water or a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar. We take a damp cloth and wipe down both sides of the blinds. Then, we repeat with a clean cloth dampened with just warm water to remove any cleaning solution residue and wipe with a dry, lint free cloth.

Q: How do you deep clean wood blinds?

A: With your wood blinds it’s unlikely you have wood blinds in your kitchen building up grease so these may just have months or years of dust accumulation. We use a damp cloth to wipe down both sides of your blinds then wipe with a dry cloth to remove any excess moisture. Again, remember damp is good, wet is bad; excess moisture can warp and discolor your wooden blinds. For stain-finished wood blinds, we might use lemon oil or wood preservative to give your blinds extra shine!
